Sensei Tristin Gray
Sandan (3rd Black Belt)


Sensei Tristin Gray has been training at Crosswinds for over 20 years. At four years old, Tristin was in Crosswind’s first ever Little Ninjas class and was first brought on as an assistant instructor in 2013 while still in high school. After spending years assisting Sensei Bob Tomaino and his brother, Sensei Aaron Gray, Tristin in now the head instructor at Crosswinds and can be seen teaching all varieties of classes as well as private lessons on Saturdays!

Sensei Tim Wallis
Sandan (3rd Black Belt)

Sensei Tim Wallis has over 30 years of experience at Crosswinds Martial Arts. Over his years at Crosswinds he has earned his 3rd black belt in Goju-Ryu, while also studying a variety of Japanese weapons such as Bo and Jo Staffs. After the retirement of school founder Bob Tomaino, Tim took on a larger role as an instructor and can be seen teaching in the adults class as well as private lessons on Saturdays!

Sempai Julia Priestman
Shodan (1st Black Belt)


Sempai Julia Priestman has over 10 years of experience at Crosswinds Martial Arts. Starting at the age of 10, Julia quickly progressed through the ranks and achieved her black belt. Julia is currently an assistant instructor at Crosswinds while she studies at Bloomsburg University to become a teacher. Julia can be seen helping throughout all varieties of classes as well as teaching private lessons on Saturdays!

Sempai Alec Kile
Shodan (1st Black Belt)


Sempai Alec Kile has been training at Crosswinds since the age of 7. Shortly after earning his black belt, Alec was brought on to the Crosswinds staff as an assistant instructor. He can be seen helping throughout all varieties of classes as well as teaching private lessons on Saturdays!

Sempai Chris Foust
Nidan (2nd Black Belt)


Sempai Chris Foust has been a student at Crosswinds for over 30 years. Over his years of training he has earned his 2nd black belt in Goju-Ryu. Sempai Chris has participated in numerous other classes at the school such as Jiu-Jitsu and Jo. He has recently began helping with Crosswinds’ program at St. Joseph’s School in Danville. He can be seen teaching there as well as at the dojo during school events and in the adult class!

Sensei Deb McCaffery
Sandan (3rd Black Belt)


Sensei Deb McCaffery has been training at Crosswinds for over 15 years. She started in 2007 with her son Ben and quickly became a regular face seen around the school. She recently achieved her 3rd black belt in Goju-Ryu. She has taken on a role as an instructor as part of Crosswinds’ program at St. Joseph’s School in Danville. She can also be seen helping in classes around the school and also in the adult class!

Sempai Ben McCaffery
Shodan (1st Black Belt)


Sempai Ben McCaffery has been training at Crosswinds for over 15 years. He started in 2007 with his mother, Deb. After over 10 years of training, Ben achieved his Black Belt in Goju-Ryu Karate. He can be seen training in the adult class and around the school!

Sempai Scott Heim
Ikkyu (Sr. Brown Belt)


Sempai Scott Heim has been training at Crosswinds for over 5 years. Though he is a newer face at Crosswinds, he quickly became a familiar face throughout the school. He also is present in the St. Joseph’s School program in Danville. He can be seen in the adult class, at dojo activities, and helping out around the dojo in and out of class!
